Obsession With OC's?Right so one person just rubbed me up the wrong way with a random comment on someone's art.
Stating things that are not true at all, but it does make me wonder...
Am I obsessed with my OC? I would like to think - no. But am not sure, maybe some folk this - yes, you kinda are, not only do you write about your OC but you also get commissions with the pairing too.
I don't think it's fair to hate on someone who has an OC and has a fair amount of pictures of said OC - whether it's by the OC's artist or a commission; an OC is essentially an extension of the artist themselves - granted there are Mary Sue's out there, but a lot of good OC's are usually boarder line Mary Sue's, at least if you take the quiz on Mary Sue's - you can Google it, it's not hard to find really. XD
Also to complain that the fandom is fully of OC's is silly, come on EVERY fandom, regardless of what anime/film/book ect is filled to the gills with OC's, there is no reason to start hating on other's b

A little thing from way back in 2005I've been trying to rest my drawing hand a bit for a couple of weeks (always good to do that once in a while) and needed something to occupy myself with. Something I could do with my left hand. So, last weekend I did whast I've been meaning to do for ages: I translated one of my very first comics!

That's right! Now you all get to see what kind of awfulness I drew when I was 15. Sure, the pages don't exactly represent my best work or anything, as I clearly remember drawing them with a "no sketching, no thinking"-mindset. But still. Yikes!
The story was also one of those "If I start here, and don't plan anything ahead, where will I end up?" -kind of things, so this is apparently how the storyteller in me worked. Enjoy 18 pages of secret agents, aliens and idiots. Lots and lots of idiots. And crappy art, but don't enjoy that.

On a normal day, if you had asked me if I had ever seen a short, round, yellow duck try his hardest to put on a pair of blue striped socks, I would have said no.
But today was not a normal day.
This is because when I woke up this morning, instead of finding myself between my cozy cotton sheets with a fat grey cat purring in my face, I found nothing. Absolutely nothing. My soft orange wood floor had been replaced with white - just stark gleaming white. My four walls had been traded for never ending perfectly smooth white. And my low ceiling, perfect for staring at on lazy days in bed, had completely disappeared, and above me all I saw was white. No lights, no windows, no doors. Just white.

seriously, i know your opinions may be seperate but HOW ?! How do you think people arre hurt when their old artworks get into such a stupid folder ?!
i don't get her behaviour since the thing that i noticed i : she hasn't even any OWN deviations in her gallery !

I'm really glad the DA has finally find time to open up a debate about it, considering we're the biggest art community online it's a very efficient way to get the word across! I was told that Sopa was brought up in october 2011 and obviously gradually went into a downward spiral from there...I actually recalled something that was kind of strange, back in 2009 or 2010, I remember watching a youtube video talking about 2012 disaster. The people in it stated that they found prove that lead them to believe that 2012 would not be a natural disaster apocalypse but would be an online crises that would end the "-internet-world" as we know it. The video stated that apparently major internet providers are planning to "sell" internet like cable Tv, you would have to pay for the every sites you visited, or buy a bundle which gave to access to a certain selection of sites, When I heard that back then I thought it was ridiculous and impossible, internet is too vast to contain. now that I look back, I fear this might actually happen if they decide to Pass all these ridiculous bills. I have a feeling the sopa,pipa bills are just a step towards something more sinister!

I Come home after a long day at school and unexpectedly my art was featured for Deviantart's SOPA Debat, I'm very honoured and appreciated all that I'm received from the community Thank you guys so much! It's only fair for me to give something back . As a student I cannot offer much in return with my lack of time, but What I can offer is my art. A lot of you are asking permission in features My Sopa image, Please if you think it'll help spread the word, go ahead and use it, if you guys want to use it commercially to raise awareness, such as posters, t-shit, please go right ahead, The image is after all created for the purpose of letting people know : D !

Sopa is just an excuse for the government to control another aspect of our lives! By taking away all our websites, which finally sparks attention in America! If they do pass this bill, then dA, facebook, twitter, google, wikipedia archieves, youtube, and everything else will be gone! It's not as though these things don't try being stopped, I know youtube takes these things down ASAP. It won't help anyways, with people will continue to pirate things and people can't be singled out since the government can't do that.

DA would be affected greatly. I read an article about what SOPA and PIPA are going to do, and any website that has what they think is copyrighted or such will be shut down.

If these bills pass, the Chinese and Russian mob pirates will laugh softly as their governments pats them on the back (and slips them more money and tech to keep doing it) about the good job they've done helping to crush America's freedom. Then they'll go back to business as usual.

These bills would only hurt small competitors and crush the online community, whilst giving the mega-corps almost total information control.
