PE DD Week: A DD is not an award, but a feature.
A DD is not an award but an art feature.
There. I said it. A DD is not a prestigious award that will change your life drastically, it's just a 24h feature.
But why is it so important to make this distinction?
It's just a way of naming something and therefore should not be of great importance, yet it makes all the difference in how people perceive a DD.

On the importance of terminology
As mentioned in the intro, the biggest problem when it comes to Daily Deviations arises with the choice of words used to describe what a Daily Deviaton is. When you call it an award, people will automatically assume that the Daily Deviation is the cream of the crop of every deviation posted ever on this site and that no art featured after it should be able to be perceived as "worse". Need Input for Message Center RevampIn the deviantWATCH, we would like to switch to Feeds vs. Messages you have to "X" away one by one.
Now, I could use a wide net of input for message center revamp, but really I'd like to start with a narrow view of just deviantWATCH.
The deviantWATCH lives within Messages, which contains within it Feedback, Notices, etc. as well. deviantWATCH messages come in like crazy in your message center once you are watching 20+ people. And of the folks reading my Journal, I know you guys tend to have over 100+ people that you +WATCH.

1000 Words and Knite Shipping and Tracking InfoHey guys, it has come to my attention that a lot of people still have not received their 1000 Words book orders, or even some Knite products. There was a huge delay with the book due to printing issues, but all the books should have been mailed out a long time ago which means if you still have not received your order, something might be wrong. The case is especially true for people living in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. It's possible that some orders are delayed in transit or lost due to the storm. Imagine FX Magazine Cover and Workshop

Hey Guys, For those who are not familiar with Imagine FX Magazines, they are general aimed at different categories of digital art. I'm happy to have participated in the making of the recent manga issue with many great artist and staff.: ) I worked on the cover and I also provided the magazine with a tutorial and a video walk through of my progress. ps. The magazine also comes with a DVD which has a bunch of brushes that I used in the makings of the cover.

Congrats! Getting an opportunity to write a tutorial for ImagineFX is great but having your art grace the cover must have been thrilling.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this but your brushes were definitely not included in the disc. It's a shame but custom brushes don't make an artist anyway. Hope you enjoy many more experiences like this in future.

Congrats on getting into this awesome magazine! I was in my local bookstore and about flipped out when I saw your art on the cover!
I was like "I'm sure this is Sakimichan" *opens to first page* OMG IT IS!!!!! *buys*
Awesome that you made a wonderful tutorial/wip video for us to see. Its amazing! Plus all the additional stuff, buttons, programs, brushes, etc...

congrats on everything this is truly and inspiration! The video tutorial was very helpful : D but I want to point out the brushes were not in the DVD T__T which was a real let down because I really wanted to try those out.

well now that I am looking through the cd, I think your hair brush was accidentally miss placed in Munashichi's tutorial which is worth noting : P Still trying to find the chalk brush but its mainly a default chalk brush so its no biggie if its not there.
