How I draw'n stuff...
___________________________

Due to the number of notes I've received asking me "How do I Draw and what media I use" I've decided to write a more detailed description of how I CG or Draw.Lol it would be nice if ppl actually scrolled down and read my comment ,I always indicate the programs I've used .

.What Program do you use?.
When it comes to CG ,I always use Opencanvas 4.06 and Photoshop CS.Without them my art will...be boring XD;;.Opencanvas is my favorite program,if you still haven't tried it yet, go ahead and download the trial and try it for urself 8'O!This program is great for inking digitally, it's wayyyyy better then ps in that domain , it has more pressure control and the lines come smoothly ,perfect for lineart !
The coloring tools are also one of a kind, they are easy to use and the "water brush" tool is easy for blending. All in all it's a great program and it's easy to handle ,with an reasonable amount of options and tools it won't confuse you(compared to painter XD; )
.Photoshop (ps) ,on the other hand is great for effects, I've started to use it more now to add more details to my pictures .Personally , I think it comes in handy but I haven't really gotten use to drawing with it ...still a long way to go XP;;

.Steps I take to produce art.
-rough sketch
-look it over, correct errors
-ink with opencanvas 4.06
-color with opencanvas 4.06
-save it into Psd format
-modify colors +add special effects with photoshop CS
-save it
-reopen into Opencanvas 4.06 =add shinys with "additional layer"

How do I improve
Well mainly it's from reading Mangas and referring to higher leved art works .I started drawing when I was 7 ,it was for fun and I didn't care much about proportions.I stopped for awhile ,then I started to draw again when I turned 14 and that's when I got serious .I decided that I would become better so I set a goal for myself. At that time, I usually draw 2-5 pics a day with references and had ppl critique some of my crappy art XD Soon I improved a bit. Then, I started reading BL mangas and get into that ,that's when I started drawing boyZ (2007)8D;;I observed how some BL artist drew guys and the body , that helped me a lot .
Now I only have the time to draw 1 pic per day but I still read BL and other mangas to help me improve.
I really love "DEath Note" the art is very inspiring : ) And it's also has good references.

Hello Sakimichan, your artwork is really inspiring and amazing!
I was wondering, but what tablet do you use to draw? Do you recommend any specific model? I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun. I'm planning on uprgrading my tablet by getting a new one but I'm not sure which model would be best to get. I was maybe thinking about Wacom Intuos5? What do you think?

Thank you

Hi xdxd I fell in love with your arts in my break from study, and i don't have much time to read all comments, so I wanted ask you: what kind of brushes use you?
I don't find any good brushes to get an water effect, for example in your "mermaid drop" design (I love it)...
Thanks *.* and compliments, your creativity and your way to use color and imagination is awesome *.*

Hi! First I wanna say that your art is awesome - and the term is really weak to describe how I love your work. You're by far my favorite artist! :blushes: I love how you work the colors to make them bright and vivid.
Now, my question is (or I must say my questions are):
1. How do you manage to get a result so bright and colorful?
2. Do you have tutorials/step by step/speedpainting somewhere?
If yes where can I find them?
If not, it would be soooo awesome to see one! :fingerscrossed: Like a work in progress with some explainations, it would be so helpful to see how you're painting 'cause my major weaknesses are colors and shadows. :stupidme:

Well, I hope I didn't bother you with my questions! I would be so proud of myself if I would be able to reach the half of your talent! That's why I'm asking you this, 'cause I really want to improve myself!!

P.S sorry for my grammar mistakes ;)
Keep up your extraordinary work!!

Saki~ -poke-
-whispers- I love you. -geegle-

Anyways, I have a question, if it's not too troublesome for you. ^o^

I've noticed that in many of your pictures, you color it in a way that makes the pictures seem kinda..."glowing". I was wondering, how do you do it? Do you saturate/desaturate areas, or etc? O:

Tytytytyyyy!! <3

All I see is linear dodge... and other stuff like in PS?

Help? D: *is stupid*

it's a layer format XD;; click on the white box where there's alot of format options(multiply, standard, soft ligth etc) you'll see it.
Note, this feature is only present in OC.

Howdi! I have a small question here! I was just wondering how long does it usually take you to do a rough sketch? o.o

I'm a secret admirer of yours XD

anyway, I have a question:
What do you usually draw first when you start a new piece?
Like the eyes, mouth, or face?
