.Anime Convention ( Otakuthon )

Just want t let you guys know that I've successfully bought a table at the anime convention near where I live,the Otakuthon con in Montreal .I'll most likely be selling  posters, art book ,prints there .I'll also be taking some sketch commissions xD And the left overs will be sold online .

I'll be going with a friend (another artist)and we'll be sitting together in the same table. If you're going and wants to find us, try to look for boys lol ,we'll probably cosplay as our male ocs .

Well this will be my first con , I hope to learn something new so I could go to a bigger con with *hino-kit lol .

.Earthquake in china. Help

On may 12th ,who would of thought that while I was sleeping soundly(3 am EST ),there was a Huge earthquake (7.9-magnitude quake ) going on for 2 hrs, in a part China. 80 000 people died ,alot of them where students ...The earthquake was so big it could be felt all over china.It was  really horrible and alot of citizens are now homeless or dead .

From what I heard in news and my family in China.

Heard in the chinese news that a mother protect her children with all her body , with all her force and she died standing with her hand in oder to protect her baby .The baby didn't get any damaged but he died 'cause of suffocation ;_; It's so sad....

A teacher protects his students with all his body strenght ,he died but the students were saved !

Another teacher who just got married was rescued , he asks for a cellphone and call for her wife , when he heard his wife's voice before he died.

A 9 aged children saved two of his friends.

The thing that touchs me the most was when people wanted to rescue a 9 aged child , this child said :" Don't mind me , please save other people first ." TTxTT He's sooo courageousss !! I really want to cry!

OTAKUTHON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year, I'll be going to otakuthon , the anime con in Montreal .I really want to go to an anime convention ,but cons like AN and AE and other anime cons are just too far from where I live and my dad wouldn't take me there anyways...>_>(btw I live in montreal )

Hopefully ,with some lucky ,I'll get a table there ! If anyone that have already been there,please tell me if tables are hard to get or not XD;; I know that the registration is not open yet ,but I wanna know how fast the tables will get taken.Anyways ,if I do get a table ,I'll probably try to make some posters, key chains and other stuff I can think of to sell there.O and I'll get a chance to sell my first art book with some BL pictures ...and  maybe light yaoi  XD

I hope some of you on DA will be going , I really don't wanna be alone XD;; although if my friend accepts to come with me.Maybe I'll cosplay too *_*;; lol I hope I can XD;;

finally, this year my parents and I will go back to china for a visit during summer vacation. I'm so weird, the first thing I'm gonna buy in china  is..PENCILSSSS ,well cute mech.pencils, I have a mech.pencil fetish XD ! If I Do get the table for the con, I can print all the posters in china x) so much cheaper !
I think it'll be fun cept for the airplan part (can't stand, 2 days doing nothing but siting on a chair ) .

How I draw'n stuff...

Due to the number of notes I've received asking me "How do I Draw and what media I use" I've decided to write a more detailed description of how I CG or Draw.Lol it would be nice if ppl actually scrolled down and read my comment ,I always indicate the programs I've used .

.What Program do you use?.
When it comes to CG ,I always use Opencanvas 4.06 and Photoshop CS.Without them my art will...be boring XD;;.Opencanvas is my favorite program,if you still haven't tried it yet, go ahead and download the trial and try it for urself 8'O!This program is great for inking digitally, it's wayyyyy better then ps in that domain , it has more pressure control and the lines come smoothly ,perfect for lineart !
The coloring tools are also one of a kind, they are easy to use and the "water brush" tool is easy for blending.All in all it's a great program and it's easy to handle ,with an reasonable amount of options and tools it won't confuse you(compared to painter XD; )
.Photoshop (ps) ,on the other hand is great for effects, I've started to use it more now to add more details to my pictures .Personally , I think it comes in handy but I haven't really gotten use to drawing with it ...still a long way to go XP;;

.Steps I take to produce art.
-rough sketch
-look it over, correct errors
-ink with opencanvas 4.06
-color with opencanvas 4.06
-save it into Psd format
-modify colors +add special effects with photoshop CS
-save it
-reopen into Opencanvas 4.06 =add shinys with "additional layer"

How do I improve
Well mainly it's from reading Mangas and referring to higher leved art works .I started drawing when I was 7 ,it was for fun and I didn't care much about proportions.I stopped for awhile ,then I started to draw again when I turned 14 and that's when I got serious .I decided that I would become better so I set a goal for myself. At that time, I usually draw 2-5 pics a day with references and had ppl critique some of my crappy art XD Soon I improved a bit. Then, I started reading BL mangas and get into that ,that's when I started drawing boyZ (2007)8D;;I observed how some BL artist drew guys and the body , that helped me a lot .
Now I only have the time to draw 1 pic per day but I still read BL and other mangas to help me improve.
I really love "DEath Note" the art is very inspiring : ) And it's also has good references.
