I prefer this one, her pose looks more human and comfortable. I mean, who really jumps like the other one? I would like to know.
But of course, girls are just there for teh sexy and if they have twisted bodies, so be it.
That said, the pose is a little boring compared with the other, I wouldn't mind seeing the furthest leg being bent to imply jumping/movement. I think that would be the best of both worlds, a girl that actually looks human in a not-so-impossible pose.
I like this one, the bent knee on the other one is such a cliche pose. Plus I love how you can feel the stretch of the pose all the way to her toes in this one. It feels more dynamic. Both are incredible, though.
This is a very striking work, you skills in crafting both pieces are stunning, but this composition and pose holds me. There is power and strength in her and a lot of life. She is cute and graceful here but I am pulled in by her body language. She feel alive and is actually communicating to me, reaching out.
They're both great but I like the tones in v2 from the hair, to her clothes, and down to her leggings.. I feel like the greater contrast between light and dark really make the image pop plus I like the little tag/tie details in v2 but overall I think I like v1 more because the pose is more natural in my opinion and uncommon than v2.. I want to say that the pose in v2 with one leg up is pretty common (think superman) and I understand that the v2 pose gives an appealing stylized sense of flight but she's not in full flight and is more hovering right at the surface of the water and this pose grounds the figure nicely and retains the sense that she's flying.
in this photo i can tell her chest is further out than v2...i think that helps emphasize her pose. +i feel like you have her shirt a warmer tone... i think i like the warmer tone better but it depends what kind of feeling you want this photo to have.
Also i like her skirt better this way for some reason. However her shoes/boots doesn't have that shiny-rubbery-leathery look as v2...in this photo her shoes/boots almost look like just socks. +if her face was brighter like in v2...this pic wins all the way for me.
i think the changes that are so minute are important (i like this one)
They are both wonderful, yet this one just feels more balanced and a less standard. I like how she is on her tiptoes reaching out eagerly to the viewer in honest. In the other one it just feels like her legs are making a more unnecessary movement, like she's trying too hard? Thats how i felt.
it's really hard to say which I prefer... this one here has more depth and looks more original - the other pose is an often used standard pose. but on the other hand this pose here also looks more static and inactive. with one leg raised it looks like she is jumping/flying - with both legs hanging to the ground it looks like she is pushed or falling... I think I like to see her active and therefore would use version 2... maybe there is some kind of mix of both poses? =/
there are things i like about both. what if you combined the two? the grounded nature of her left leg in this one, plus the playfulness of the right leg in the other version. that way you keep the depth of field and the strength of the stance without losing the free movement or playfulness of the pose.
combining the two will also make it seem like she's flying toward you instead of falling back in V2. currently in V1 she looks like she's in that hovering state after bursting through the clouds, though it looks like the movement is headed for the upper right and its slightly distracting from her visual focus. sort of like clashing visual focal points since at least to me it seems her body movement vs her eye focus is clashing.
i also think the coloring in this one is MUCH better (though she's missing her pigtails!)
