I feel so much feelings in this pic.. When I look at the boy, in his sad eyes, I see a lonley soul which only wants to have someone by his side. But still he can't be happy by making the beautiful woman.. I'ts wonderful!
actually, that wasn't the impression i first had when i saw it. i thought she was some rich, powerful, manipulative gal and he was her sex slave. u know, the romans actually had sex slaves and it was tooootally acceptable. i just translated this passage in latin and in it this rich guy had brought his "pet" into the dining room for all his guests to see. his pet had really bad teeth though, which wasn't very acceptable. oh, and homosexuality was totally acceptable too. so long as you were the seme. uke's were really looked down on. and u should still have a wife anyways, just for the sake of it. and it was totally acceptable for guys to cheat on their wives so long as it wasn't a lasting relationship. and actually, for the greeks, it was expected that teen boys have sex with much older men as a part of their education. and then when their older, they should return the favor and have sex with a teen. funky huh?
Oh wow, that lady reminds me so vividly of a homonculus in a book called ''The Sandman'', in which an alchemist makes a young beautiful lady, who can't speak and moves like a doll...and her eyes are empty, just as the eyes of your character.
Now your character will always pop in my mind whenever i think of the book, thank you .
This is so well done! May I ask what medium this is? I want to say color pencil as well as pen but I don't think that's quite right. I did read your comment on materials but I am just trying to make sure. thank you.
