Korra print for Otakuthon : )I feel like this is not my best work, I was trying to go for a more dynamic pose, I wanted to try something new. I had lost of fun with the new brush I made by useing texture and dual brush option in photoshop. this was a good experimental piece. there are a lots of room for improvements for sure.

Nothing but love for the artwork of Korra, but it seems some people are blind to the fact she doesn't look at all pale, the lighting his bouncing off her skin, giving her a lighter color. I mean, even I can see that and I am hardly an expert of artwork of any degree. Her skin is perfect, YES it isn't the EXACT skin tone as the show, but no artwork ever is exactly the same as portrayed on TV.

Anyway, if you wanted to make her white, make her white, it's your artwork, your time, your hand(or tablet/mouse), do what you believe is right and all shall turn out perfect. However try to please everyone else and it will surely end with a horrible result.~

But in any event keep doing what you're doing.~

Love the lighting and pose! I don't understand all the hype about her being whitewashed, or too pale, she looks perfect! Looks true to the character to me for the lighting going on around her. Amazing job, love this!

What I do not understand is why some people are not able to understand the different directions lighting is hitting Korra. From the left there is an intense white light shining through the water. From the right there has bright orangish from the fire. Therefore, by the logic of those below, she should be accused of being colored ORANGE as well. Why ignore just ONE side of the lighting?
She's not "white-washed". There is CLEARLY pigment in her skin.
What is really "f-ed up" is when people just want to post disparaging comments to start a unnecessary problem.

I enjoy this piece. It has flow, pleasing composition, and wonderful color usage.
