The drops of water are so clear and are mingling with his tear, I want to know what happened to him, what is he seeing that makes him so sad?

The slight, subtle expression on his face shows a deep and powerful inner emotion which we can all relate to. It makes this piece feel so close to home.

I have seen a lot of portraits, but this one really caught my eye and reeled me in. Great work indeed.
